Go Coach Charters

FAQ

Straight answers, no fine print.

Pricing, capacity, insurance, cancellation, alcohol, multi-day logistics — the questions Alberta groups ask most before they book.

Most full-day charter bus rentals in Alberta range from $1,200 to $3,500 depending on group size, distance, and bus type. A 56-passenger motor coach for an Edmonton wedding shuttle typically runs $1,400–$2,000; a multi-day Banff trip runs $4,500–$8,000. We send same-day, all-in quotes with no hidden fees.

Every Go Coach quote is all-inclusive: professional Class 2 driver, all fuel, $5M commercial liability insurance, GST, driver overnight accommodations on multi-day trips, and 24/7 dispatch support. Tolls, ferry fees, and driver gratuity (10–15% standard) are extra.

Our fleet includes 56-passenger highway motor coaches (with washroom, Wi-Fi, HD TVs, reclining seats), 24-passenger mini buses for mid-sized groups, and an executive coach for premium corporate transport. We'll match the bus to your group size — never overbook a small group into a large coach.

Anywhere in Alberta. Common pickup hubs are Edmonton (downtown, west end, Sherwood Park), Calgary (downtown, NE, NW), St. Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Red Deer, Lloydminster, and Leduc. Your pickup spot is up to you — venue, hotel, school, office, residential street.

Wedding season (May–September) and Calgary Stampede week book 2–3 months out. Corporate retreats and school trips usually book 4–8 weeks ahead. Last-minute requests are sometimes possible — call (780) 238-3866 to check live availability.

Yes. A non-refundable deposit (typically 25%) secures the date. The remaining balance is due one week before departure. Payments accepted via e-transfer or major credit card.

Cancellations made 30+ days before departure: deposit forfeit, balance refunded. 14–29 days: 50% of trip cost. Less than 14 days: full trip cost. Weather cancellations and emergencies are reviewed case-by-case.

Alcohol on board is permitted only when explicitly approved in your booking and where legal. We'll discuss the venue, route, and applicable rules before adding alcohol approval to your contract. Smoking and illegal substances are prohibited on all coaches.

Yes. Every bus carries $5 million in commercial liability insurance. Drivers hold a valid Alberta Class 2 licence with a clean abstract. Every coach passes Alberta CVIP every 6 months and a 42-point inspection monthly. Certificate of Insurance available on request.

On multi-day trips, the driver overnights with the group at no extra charge — driver accommodations are included in your quote. Hours-of-service rules apply (Federal Motor Vehicle Hours of Work Regulations); we plan itineraries to stay compliant without skipping the fun stuff.

Our drivers are experienced on Alberta routes and can give general route information, but they're not licensed tour guides. If you want a guided tour (e.g., Banff, Jasper, Calgary Stampede), we can recommend partner guides — usually $250–$500/day.

Anywhere from 12 to 56 passengers per coach. For groups larger than 56, we run multiple coaches in convoy — a common setup for large weddings, school field trips, and corporate offsites.

Yes — within reason. The driver can accommodate reasonable mid-trip changes (extra stop, schedule shift) as long as it stays within hours-of-service limits and doesn't conflict with another booking. Major changes (added overnight, route change) are handled through dispatch and may carry an additional charge.

Service animals are always welcome. Other pets are reviewed case-by-case — usually allowed for private group bookings with a deposit and a cleaning agreement.

Yes. Multi-day trips into Saskatchewan, BC (especially Vancouver, Kelowna), and the western US are common. International trips (US border crossings) require additional driver paperwork — easy to arrange with 2–3 weeks of notice.
