We're a working charter operator (Go Coach Charters, based in Sherwood Park, AB), so the numbers below are the actual prices we quote and the actual ranges across our most-booked trip types. Other operators may quote differently — these are benchmarks, not industry standards.
Every Go Coach quote is all-in: fuel, $5M commercial liability insurance, GST, and driver overnight accommodations on multi-day trips are included. Tolls, ferry fees, and driver gratuity (10–15% standard) are extra.

What changes the price
Six factors that move the quote.
Group size
Mini bus (24-passenger) is $200–$500 cheaper than the 56-passenger motor coach for the same trip.
Distance & duration
Longer trips need more fuel and may push driver hours-of-service into a multi-shift split — both add cost.
Season
Wedding season (May–Sept) and Calgary Stampede week run 15–25% higher than off-season weekdays.
Lead time
Booking 3+ months ahead lands the best pricing. Last-minute (under 2 weeks) bookings sometimes carry a premium.
Bus type
Executive coach is $200–$400 more than standard motor coach. Mini bus is the lowest cost.
Multi-day driver lodging
On overnight trips, driver hotel is included in the quote. Trips that require multiple driver overnights cost proportionally more.

Common questions
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to what most groups want to know before they book.
Most operators don't price by the hour — they price by the trip with a minimum booking. Effective per-hour cost on a typical 6-hour booking works out to $250–$350/hr for a 56-passenger coach.
Demand. May through September every wedding-capable coach in the province is booked weeks in advance. We don't gouge, but we do price closer to the top of the range during peak demand.
Yes — lead time is one of the biggest price-drivers. 3+ months ahead lands our best pricing. 2 weeks out, you're paying whatever's left.
On a $1,800 wedding shuttle for 50 guests, that's $36/person. On a $7,500 multi-day Banff trip for 50, it's $150/person — usually less than what each guest would pay solo.
Not at Go Coach. Our quotes are all-in: fuel, insurance, GST, overnight driver accommodations included. The only adders on the invoice are tolls, gratuity, and any extras you authorized in writing.
